Frustrated!

Sitting in the lab waiting to feed the vampires to make sure my HCG is down to zero and they don't have the order for the lab work! The clinic forgot to put in the order and they can't do it without it. I already know I'm not pregnant as I've had a period but I have to give them the blood work to be sure. This is so frustrating. I just want to go home and cry.

I was looking this up for my future self but thought you may be interested. Not that anyone wants to change jobs, but some amazing companies do cover IVF (this is from 2010 so would need to confirm it's still true.) -- http://badplumbing.kurvy.com/2010/06/conceives-top-50-companies-for-ivf-benefits.html

Wow thats great except their numbers are completely off. One IVF cycle is about 15-20K including drugs though. The drugs can be 4-5K alone.

The other thing to consider is whether or not these are amounts the company kicks in or if they are old coverages that insurance companies used to provide. United Healthcare will cover up to 15K for IVF BUT most reputable clinics are completely out of network and do not accept insurance of any kind. So unless its a reimbursement situation, you're still out of pocket 15-20K for 1 fresh cycle. If you produce enough fertilized embryos to freeze frozen cycles (FET) are much cheaper at 3-4K including drugs.

Thankfully Apple pays me very well so its like they cover it. I doubt any company, other than maybe Google, could match my salary. I know I'm very lucky in that regard.
