Got to the train station in plenty of time. Train ride was uneventful except for one screeching halt just after we started to move that made me think we were going to plow into another train ahead of us.
Salzburg is beautiful. Its been raining all day but that's ok. This town lives off of the memory and music of Mozart. We walked around in the old town quite a bit after checking in at the hotel. Cute shops and restaurants all pawning Mozart related stuff.
Still we saw some pretty cool things. We did the tour through Mozart's residence. Some replicas of the original instruments he composed on. The house was 50% destroyed in WWII but some original things remained. Its worth seeing if you're in Salzburg.
We have an 8 am pickup at our Hotel for the Sound of Music tour then we have dinner and a Mozart (of course) concert up at the fortress on the hill. It will be another long day but I'm really looking forward to it.
